Language study modules
The Language Centre offers Turku University degree students the possibility to complete a language study module of a minimum of 15 or 20 study points.
Study modules available are as follows: Foreign Language study module (20 study points), Speech Communication study module, English Communication Skills study module or International Exchange study module (15 study points). In addition to the courses offered by the Language Centre, the study modules may contain some same-level language courses completed elsewhere. The study module is evaluated on a pass/fail basis.
*So far the Faculties of Humanities, Education, Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Social Sciences have made a decision that their students can include the Language Centre’s study modules in their degree. However, the students of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences cannot include the International Exchange study module.
Study modules will be collated in the Language Centre. NB! A study module can only consist of such courses that are not tied to a completed degree.
